- It would consist of
- Individual, licensed shops that produce and sell the marijuana
- An UberEats-like delivery service for said marijuana
- Obviously, it's good to see a product before you buy it, and that's true for all types of products! This means that a physical location is important for the success of a business like this
- However, people like convenience. Especially in college towns. So you can either,
- Purchase it in stores that would be conveniently placed
- Or you could just download a phone app that will process your order and deliver the product to you

While dispensaries already exist I think the delivery service would be very successful. I have seen very similar services in California where recreational marijuana is legal, and they seem to very successful. I think the key in setting yourself apart would be by offering the customer something they cannot get anywhere else ( having it in Florida versus California). By being the first company to enter the market when it becomes legal I think that you could have a huge advantage.

ReplyDeleteYou definitely have a good plan going here; however, like Sebastian said, you should find a way to differentiate yourself from the service that's offered in California. Something that would be unique to Florida. People would want to see uniqueness and not the same-old , same-old. Even if you were to open the Uber-Eats of marijuana in Florida, you'll have great success because nobody will have something like that here. But overall, you have a lot of great ideas to go along with the opportunity you chose!
I agree with both Sebastian and Austin because if you were to be one of the first marijuana stores, once recreational marijuana becomes legal, you'll be one step ahead of everyone. Additionally, if you provide a delivery system, it would be more convenient for people and they would be more likely to buy it from you. The only disadvantage of this opportunity is that you have to wait until marijuana becomes legal in Florida to be able to take advantage of this opportunity.
